From The Chapters and Organizations

I am writing to express my appreciation to Inalex Communications for supporting the Couples Retreat held in Rochester, NY on May 31 and June 1, 2008.

The presenter, Jack Kakolewski performed a phenomenal program. The couples left the retreat feeling renewed and energized. Having a bleeding disorder and/or raising a child with a bleeding disorder can create a great deal of stress on a relationship. This program allowed couples to take time out for each other. It provided couples with the tools necessary to maintain a healthy relationship. After reviewing the evaluations there is a quote that sounds out, "This workshop was informative, fun and best of all it made us remember why we love each other". This program addressed the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship and tools to use when challenges arise.

I have received several phone calls since retreat requesting this type of program take place yearly. I look forward to working with you again on another fantastic program.

On behalf of the Mary Gooley Hemophilia Center, we thank you for your generous support in bringing this high quality program to Rochester, NY.
Tricia Oppelt, LMSW / Mary Gooley Hemophilia Center, Rochester New York

On behalf of our HTC and the SouthWestern Ohio Hemophilia Foundation, we want to express our appreciation for Inalex?s provision of a speaker/workshop for family fest. Ron?s session on stress was interesting, interactive and well received by families and staff in attendance.

We appreciate your commitment to bringing educational events to the community and we look forward to partnering with you in the future.
Leslie McGeady, Sandy Hibner, Nancy Duffy RN and Dr. Fend

We truly appreciate the collaboration with Inalex for the Father ? Son Retreat. Thank you for the opportunity to bring this important program to our community. Your expert facilitators introduced our families to new thoughts and concepts that we hope will further strengthen their relationships.

The planning and implementation went so smoothly, thanks in large part to part to Sal?s attention to detail. It was truly a pleasure working with you. We look forward to future partnerships.
Leslie McGeady

We are writing in appreciation of your support for our Couples Retreat that was held on March 1st & 2nd 2008 in Concord, North Carolina.

In the end, we had 25 couples that attended the retreat and the comments were unanimously positive! Couples attended from all around the state and traveled up to 200 miles for the program. Needless to say, no one was disappointed and everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously.

The program you provided and the speaker, Jack Kakolewski, was a quality presentation that left the couples feeling refreshed and renewed. Being able to provide this to couples who face enormous challenges each day of their lives was invaluable. We often provide education to the families on care/treatment for themselves or their child but rarely take the time to consider the stress on their relationships. Your program addressed all the key issues in maintaining a healthy relationship with your loved one so that when challenges do arise, they are better equipped to handle them.

A number of members approached me during and after the program to request additional retreats from Inalex Communications. I look forward to working with you in the near future to discuss these opportunities.

On behalf of Hemophilia of North Carolina?s Executive Board and the entire community we serve, we thank you once again for your generous support.
Sue Cowell, Executive Director of Hemophilia of North Carolina

Thank you very much for giving the Hemophilia Foundation of Greater Florida the opportunity to offer the Inalex Communications education and support program for men with bleeding disorders in Florida.

Inalex is a terrific program and the feedback we are receiving has been wonderful. We would be grateful to you for the opportunity to present this program to our South Florida constituency. They are a large underserved Spanish population that would benefit greatly.

Joe, it has been a pleasure working with you. You are a dynamic person with a beautiful heart and the bleeding disorder community is very fortunate to have you as an advocate.
Fran Haynes / Executive Director of The Hemophilia Foundation of Greater Florida

What a fabulous thing you did for our family "Camp Sangre Valiente." Our dads are still talking about it. One of the men is on the state police force and as part of his job has attended many physiological and family counseling seminars. He gave your program the very highest marks and is wishing you lived in NM. One of the wives was utterly amazed that her extremely hyper husband stayed with you for six plus hours. She remarked that he would not go to the movies with her because he will not sit any where for two hours. These are just two of the many positive remarks made by virtually all the men. I only wish I could have been a fly on the wall.

As you can see Joe, we need you. My board and I are hopeful that you can do additional programs for the men in New Mexico. Please let me know what we can do to make this happen. I might add that some of the moms have let me know that they too would like something comparable. Don?t know if this is something you do or perhaps you know someone who will work with these women.

To say thank you does not seem like enough but please know that our camp will never be the same for the men who attend each year. Do you think you can come back every year?
Mollie Papen-Eatinger / Executive Director of The Hemophilia Foundation of New Mexico

Thank you for conducting your "Relationship" workshop ? for couples only! It is difficult for me to find the words that adequately express HANJ?s satisfaction with this, as well as previous workshops conducted as part of our pilot sponsorship of Inalex programs.

As you know, HANJ has always sought to bring cutting edge, high energy, programs and services to our members. This becomes easier to effect through the provision of a safe environment for patient discussions regarding treatment, access to care, anger, quality of life, and certainly relationships. Your program is that safe environment.

The letters we have received from members who have experienced the Inalex program have confirmed our instincts that this program is, in fact, different. That it fills a need we only suspected existed, and that the experience will stay with each participant forever.

Once again Joe, many-many thanks for your passion and your drive on behalf of the hemophilia community. How fortunate for HANJ that you live in New Jersey.
Elena Bostick / Executive Director of The Hemophilia Association of New Jersey

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of the Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA), I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sending your exceptional facilitators for presenting the Teen Program at our recent Educational Symposium. The HFA relies on volunteers to provide a positive educational experience for families and we appreciate your interest in the HFA and its services to the community.

The teens at our event enjoyed the session provided and have gone home with valuable tools to help them better communicate with their parents and friends. HFA received many positive comments about the session and all of us at HFA appreciate everything you do for the community. Again, thank you for supporting the Hemophilia Federation of America.
Susan Swindle - Administrative Director of Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA)

I read the special edition of HANJournal - initially with interest, then delight and admiration. To have good ideas when life is rosy is a pleasant past time, but you took your negative experiences, teased out their causes and then turned them into positive ideas and a constructive project to change the lives of other people for the better. Bravo!
Dr. Parvin Saidi, MD - Professor of Medicine and Chief Division of Hematology

On behalf of the Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California, the board of directors and the families that learned from you last week, we would like to thank you for your afternoon spent helping the men?s group with goal setting. Even though we were not in attendance, there were many appreciative comments coming from the men, young and old. Thank you so much!
Patty Moskoff and Marcia Joswick/Co-Chairs, Educational Weekend Retreat Committee Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California

On behalf of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, I want to thank you for presenting a workshop for the men in our bleeding disorder. Your presentation is still being discussed at our chapter events by the men that attended. They had never had the opportunity to attend a session geared just to them. They so enjoyed it and in fact I have been chastised for not making them understand how great this presentation was before hand so that they could "drag" their friends to attend with them. One of our dads had previously arranged for his wife to call him out of the session after only 45 minuets to attend another "important" session ? but when she paged him on his cell phone, he ignored her page. When she knocked on the door and interrupted to pull him out in person, he told her he was fine and didn?t need rescuing! She was amazed.

Joe, you gave these men the opportunity to finally express their feelings in an environment that they felt comfortable and safe in. Many of our attendees have continued relationships that were formed during that session throughout the year.

Most of the attendees have asked me to get you back to Pittsburgh for the next year's meeting. They feel like they?ve just begun processing and learning about how to express themselves about bleeding disorders and their relationships to those around them with regard to bleeding disorders.

Well, I could go on and on-thank you again for providing such an invaluable experience for our families affected with bleeding disorders
Dawn Rotellini - Executive Director Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation

Thank you again for leading the men?s Rap Session at the "On The Road" meetings in Minneapolis and Denver. I?m glad we had the opportunity to get the men and Dad?s together?.and know that it was most appreciated.
Alyssa Strauss MPH Education Coordinator - National Hemophilia Foundation

Joe, I was cleaning off my desk today for the holidays and finally took the opportunity to review your website. This is an amazing amount of work you have put into this effort and you are obviously totally filling a need that is worthwhile. I just want to thank you for the opportunity to review your program and certainly encourage you to keep going. This community never ceases to amaze me, and your commitment and vision to helping your peers is inspiring.
Sally Crudder, CDC - Division of Hereditary Blood Disorders
